2012 Vauxhall Astra

Say what’s up to Vauxhall Motors most powerful production Astra model ever: the 2012 Astra VXR. The luxury import vehicle is set to launch next year and comes with a monstrous turbocharged, direct-injection two-litre engine that produces a ridiculous 277 bhp and 295lbs ft of torque. Powerful enough for you? On the design end, the VXR features a “sporty cabin” and roomy backseats, while the cockpit offers adjustable FlexRide adaptive dampers. It’s also said to have a mechanical limited slip differential, which is said to improve traction and cut wheelspin “from a standing start and out of corners.” Sitting on 20-inch multi-spoke alloys, the high-end sedan is definitely ready to muscle its way onto roads and highways in 2012. Don’t be surprised to see this at the LA Auto Show in a few weeks. Just saying. Read more details over at AutoCar.co.uk.
