The British luxury car brand plans on unveiling its new drop-top speedster at next week’s LA Auto Show: the Jaguar XKR-S Convertible. The Cabriolet-based model is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 that muscles 542bhp and 502lb ft of torque, while topping speeds of up to 186mph and 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds. Impressive, huh? Some of the more notable upgrades on the XKR-S coupe consist of a new aluminum steering wheel, wider tires, front and rear “aerodynamic enhancements,” and reprogrammed damper. Jaguar has the soft-top XKR tagged at £84.5k, with the premium super-Cabriolet model priced at £97,000. Expect to hear more on this baby at the 2011 LA Auto Show. We got you on showroom images.
