From a distance, it looks like you’re staring at the latest Aston Martin. But you’d be fooled in thinking so. Your peepers are on Jaguar’s latest concept whip, dubbed the C-X16. Ironically, the new speedster will not be the company’s flagship vehicle, but instead be designed to compete with more affordable sporting coupes: combining luxury appeal with high performance. The C-X16 comes equipped with a supercharged, 3.0L V6-engine that delivers 376 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed gearbox and an electric motor (linked to a “Push to Pass” button on the steering wheel). Top speed is clocked in at 186mph with acceleration marked at 0-62 in just 4.4 seconds. Sweet. Pricing is set to be announced in the near future, but expect to see more of this stunner at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
