Warner Brothers released the pulse-racing trailer for the next chapter in the Lord of the Rings series, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. The film, which is slated to release December 13th, gives us a sneak peak of what looks like some pretty awesome fight scenes: including one with new character Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly) and the return of fan fav Legolas (Orlando Bloom).
We have Bilbo (Martin Freeman) doing an imitation of Scrooge McDuck’s gold pile dive, along with a few glimpses of Gandalf (Ian Mckellan), Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), Azog (Manu Bennett), and Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans), who bears slight resemblances to Orlando Bloom’s character in Pirates of the Caribbean. Looks like the Desolation of Smaug will be a great ride.
