DC Design pulled the sheets off the first-ever Indian designed sports car, the DV Avanti, at the Delhi Motor Show. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged speedster is said to rev up 261bhp and will be available in a V6 version with 394bhp sometime in the near future. Another interesting attribute is that both engines are expected to feature a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Speed-wise, we’re looking at the base model reaching 62 mph in less than seven seconds. Not bad. At the moment, DC Design plans on releasing 200 cars a year, with a build up to 2,000 models yearly in the long term. The DC Avanti can only be purchased through Avanti showrooms in India.
