Expendables 2 PG-13 Petition

Chuck Norris’ demands to make The Expendables 2 a PG-13 film has resulted in an outcry of criticism from hardcore action fans across the globe. And after Sylvester Stallone confirmed the rating a few days back, all hell’s broken lose. Well, one fan is pushing for change. Meet Peter DiDonato of Orange, CT. He’s the man responsible for the “Lionsgate: Make Expendables 2 have an R Rating” petition created on Change.org. Dude has tallied up 91 of 100 signatures thus far. Fanboys yearning for stronger language and blood splattering kills can sign the petition here.

On the Hollywood end, Expendable Terry Crews has touched on the “sensitivity” behind the changed rating and assures fans they can expect over-the-top action from the sequel:

I feel your pain about the EX2 PG-13. But do you really think we’ve all gone soft as baby thighs? No sirs. You will love it. Trust ya boy.

I kill more baddies in the first 3 min of EX2 than I did the whole last movie. Don’t let the smooth taste fool you. This suckers got kick.

It’s worth noting that the film’s already been shot in PG-13, so any major changes might result in reshoots or a delayed release. Oh well, here’s hoping for an unrated DVD cut, which makes most sense going into the holidays. Let’s see what Lionsgate and Sylvester Stallone do from here.
