All seems official in the tech world, as Samsung just sent out invites for its Unpacked 5 event, which as history has proven should lead to the unveiling of it’s next-gen flagship handset: the Galaxy S5. The The Unpacked 2014 Episode 1 show looks to take place in Barcelona on day one of Mobile World Congress 2014. Talk about eliminating the competition from the start.
When asked by The Verge about the event, a Samsung spokesperson claimed “We can’t tell you what ‘5’ means.” Some of the latest reports suggest the Galaxy S5 will feature an iris scanner, octa-core processor, and redesign, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
Samsung is also rumored to announce its very own fitness band and the Galaxy Gear 2 at the international expo. MWC 2014 kicks off February 27th.
