We all assumed John Rambo’s new adventure was dead in the water, as the planned sequel has been trapped in development purgatory for the past few years. And with Sylvester Stallone tied to The Expendables 2, Bullet to the Head, and the recently announced The Tomb with Arnold Schwarzenegger, no one was sure if Sly had plans of returning. Now comes word from screenwriter Sean Hood (Conan the Barbarian remake), who answered a question from a fan on his Twitter page about the status of Rambo 5. His response: “Rambo 5 on hold as Sly finishes Expendables 2. He hasn’t decided if R5 will be an “Unforgiven” or a “passing of the torch.”
Stallone has his hands full wrapping up The Expendables 2 at the moment. The highly anticipated sequel has undergone a slew of controversy surrounding its rating change from R to PG-13.
