Deadline reports a new installment of The Purge is coming our way. With many details withheld, the only thing we know for sure is The Purge 3 will again be written by James DeMonaco, who also wrote and directed the first two movies. There is a possibility that he will direct the third film as well.
There has yet to be a plot details revealed, except for we already know about the last two installments . The Purge: Anarchy grossed $108 million worldwide, more than the $89 million the first film made. DeMonaco overjoyed by the success of the film, giving the statement, “never imagined that The Purge would become the phenomenon it has become, and [ I’m] thrilled to continue [my] collaboration with Blumbhouse, Sebastien Lemercier, Platinum Dunes and the great team at Universal in building The Purge into a worldwide franchise.”
