Lotus Cars is considered an international staple on the supercar manufacturing front. Now word has it that the British automaker will be unveiling a Lotus Convertible at next month’s 82nd Geneva International Motor Show in Palexpo. Though auto experts aren’t 100 percent on whether a new convertible model will be introduced, all signs lead to a drop-top version of one of its vehicles. Motor Authority believes it to be the Evora. So do we. The basis? Well, like MA pointes out, it’s “the only real car still in the company’s global sales lineup.” That’s not to say we won’t possibly see a concept car in the works.

The Lotus teaser features images of a bald man with a sunburn on his head and the company pushing the tag line “blow the roof off.” Other hints include the following: “Something breezy, something loud, something ice-cold, and some other interesting elements.”

Sounds like a convertible to us. An Evora drop-top could be cool, but we’re hoping Lotus puts together something new for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. We’ll keep you posted.
