Mortal Kombat X might still be a month away from launch, yet that hasn’t stopped developer NetherRealm Studios from sharing more new details on the project. After teasing and unveiling the return of several fan favorites from Goro to Kitana, as well as some new fatalities, the studio as just confirmed the return of brutalities. The much-requested feature is back, which you can check out in the company’s latest Kombat Kast Episode.

According to creator Ed Boon, the game will offer “well over 100” brutalities that can be activated based on how a fighter approaches their attacks at the end of a match. Most of you old school MK players remember brutalities as long combo attacks that lead to an opponent’s explosion into a pile of bones, not to mention how incredibly difficult they were to execute. The new system will allow us to perform them automatically under specific conditions. Check out the footage above.
