We like our monitors like Sir Mix-a-Lot likes his women…with curves. NEC has just announced the monster 43″ CRV43 gaming monitor will be hitting the store front next month. If it looks familiar, it’s because Alienware (oddly) debuted virtually the exact same model at CES last year to showcase Crysis and again at their booth during this years E3. The CRV43 hosts a native reolution of 2,880 x 900, a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, a .02ms response time, and will be available for $8,000 in July.
If the whole Alienware/NEC duplicate model situation is bugging you out, just know they’re both being developed by the same manufacturer, Ostendo Technologies. The Alienware version of the CRV43 will be released via Dell though the pricing and release date have not been announced yet.
