With the acquisition of Nokia and the rebranding of its flagship Lumia smartphone line, Microsoft’s been ready to re-launch its best-selling Windows Phone 8 imprint, though under a rebranded moniker: Microsoft Lumia. Instead of announcing a premium handset with top-notch features and a killer camera, the company moved into the budget-friendly route, creating what’s known as the Lumia 535. Not exactly what WP8 fans were anticipating.

The cost-efficient smartphone comes with a 5-inch display featuring super-durable Gorilla Glass, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon. To the disappointment of many, the Lumia 535 doesn’t sport the insane 40MP lens of the Lumia 1020. The device features two 5PM cameras, one on the front with a wide-angle lens and a rear shooter. Color options for the device are green, orange, white, gray, blue, and black. A dual-SIM version will also be made available for purchase.

Any takers?
