LG and Samsung took a gamble on curved display smartphones, and the return of investment has been pretty abysmal. Seriously, do you see anyone with a G Flex or importing the Galaxy Round? Exactly. The normal techie knows for a fact that Apple would never follow such a trend, though a new report from Japanese website Macotakara suggests the company is in fact considering such a design for the upcoming iPhone 6.
The source suggests the handset would feature a curved glass display that would be flushed against the device’s new rounded corners. MacRumors describes the iPhone to have a roundier body that resembles the design used in the Squait Curvaceous Bumper.
Think we can all call bs here, especially if the talks of Apple launching a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 hold true. Would play too close to the competition and that isn’t the Cupertino Clan’s steelo.
