iOS 8 iCloud bug

Looks like Apple’s iOS 8 issues aren’t going away anytime soon, as new reports indicate the latest software update features a nasty bug that could be responsible for potentially erasing all iWork documents stored in your iCloud drive account. MacRumors states the option to “Reset all Settings” found under the Settings—General—Reset in the update would delete those files permanently. The publication also tested the option, and needless to say, they were right.

Adding more insult to injury, Macrumors discovered that after synching iCloud to a Mac running OS X Yosemite, all documents had been erased from the Mac as well: mainly iWork files. It’s being said that files could be retrieved from a backup folder or through Time Machine, though Apple has yet to make any formal announcements regarding the issue. Simply put, just avoid the “Reset All Setting” option. Either that or just don’t download iOS 8.
