When HTC launched the One earlier in the year, the phone was considered a huge gamble that needed to pay off in order to keep the Taiwanese mobile giant afloat for the rest of the year. The phone has managed to gain some traction and continues to boast notable sales thanks to remarkable reviews. However, the company still looks to be imploding from within as several key execs have quit over the past week.

Now it looks like HTC will follower in its competitor’s footsteps by supposedly releasing a smaller and more cost-efficient model to its flagship phone, as recent shots of the HTC One Mini have found its way onto the Net. The images come from an Estonia tech blog, which states the phone will feature a smaller 4.3-inch, 720p HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 4MP camera with UltraPixel technology.

The same website claims the One Mini will go on sale for $500 at the end of August. Any takers?
