How Does the Crowd-Funded Ouya Game Console Compare?

On top of offering some big-named titles, the Ouya supports a handful of exclusive games. The platform even allows users to create their own games, which means it’s easy to establish your own fun and inexpensive entertainment. For now, however, the gaming experience on Ouya lacks major draw because of the numerous options found on a smartphone or tablet. With fans already accustomed to playing these titles on mobile devices, the Ouya console leaves little to be desired.

Another downside to the console is it lacks a social aspect. All of the next-gen consoles will allow players to talk with each other while playing, accept/send challenges, and share achievements on social media sites like Facebook. Ouya doesn’t currently support any of that. The system is actually catered to up-and-coming developers. Without a strong third-party backing, the Ouya will become little more than a repository for old games on the Android platform.
