With the development of their motion-sensor app, Project Natal, all of Microsoft’s attention is clearly focused on taking out their biggest threat in the console wars: Nintendo. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t thinking forward about challenging Mario’s handheld dynasty with a portable Microsoft system. Corporate VP Shane Kim recently spoke with Kikizo and it seems the OS giant is still interested in producing a portable system. Kim says, “We’re building a service in Live that will… will extend to other platforms … no question about it.” In no rush, the company feels if they jumped into the fight, they would not “have the resources and ability to do things like…Project Natal.” Nice prototype by the way!
