The sequel to Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time finds Bowser as one of the main protagonists of the story, as the evil Fawful tricks Mario’s nemesis into eating a magic mushroom. The results: Bowser ends up inhaling everything around him, including Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach. Bowser’s Inside Story produces the same laughs and crazy RPG gameplay of its predecessors, and is a welcoming addition to your DS library.

The sequel to 2006’s Ultimate Alliance reunites some of Marvel’s biggest superheroes, leading to a Civil War between good and evil that causes the death of hundreds of civilians. The government labels this massacre “Super Powered Negligence” and passes a Superhuman Registration Act, leaving mutants to either oblige or rebel against the government’s actions. Join the Pro-Registration lead by Iron Man, Mister Fantastic and Songbird or join the Anti-Registration side with Captain America, Luke Cage and Iron Cage and choose the fate of mutant humanity.

NBA 2K10 might be an easy layup for 2K Sports, but their NHL 2K series has lost some edge from its slapshot the past few years. Looking to regain their strength, this year’s edition introduces their pick-up-and-shoot control system, making power shots as simple as ever. The Wii edition utilizes the Wii Motion Plus capability to maneuver the puck and sounds like the obvious choice to pick up.

EA Sports picks up the slack and produces a hockey game worth checking out. A new First Person Fighting Engine and Intimidation Tactics feature is sure to leave you skating on red ice, leaving the computer or your online opponents instilled with fear. With over 10 new features, NHL 10 looks to have the sharper blades this year.

EA’s Need For Speed series has branched off into three categories: Arcade, Action Racing and Authentic Racing. Shift redefines the racing genre and puts gamers behind a race car to experience real world physics, such as their first person crash dynamic, which pushes realistic gameplay to another level. Its a much better look than the previous NFS games.
