Emma Roberts Grabs Lead in Scream 4, Film a "Reboot"?

Just a few days ago rumors had “Twilight’s” Ashley Green and “Heroes” Hayden Panettiere joining the cast of “Scream 4”. Now comes word from EW that Emma Roberts will tackle the heroine roll of Jill, Sidney’s cousin. Roberts expressed her excitement saying, “I’m so excited to be part of this ground-breaking franchise…It’s the perfect opportunity for me to do something completely different than I’ve ever done before.” Director Wes Craven shows some love as well. “Emma’s talent, beauty, and range will add immensely to the sophistication, intensity, and fun of the Scream franchise as it returns to the screen once more,” said Craven.

In addition, Variety claims the film will be “reboot of the horror franchise,” as well. This sounds interesting considering the original team is onboard as well (Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courtney Cox Arquette).
