Recent gameplay issues in Battlefield 4 has forced DICE to halt development on any “future products or expansions” until the creator manages to fix the bugs present in the game. The announcement was made be an EA rep and shared with IGN: “We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game – it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game.” The publication also inquired about the possible delays on future DICE games including Star Wars Battlefront and the next Mirror’s Edge title. An EA spokesperson responded by saying, “We haven’t announced a ship date for Battlefront but right now the team is focused on fixing Battlefield 4.”

On the good side, the publisher is still scheduled to release its China Rising pack this week stating it was “already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4.” Expect more patch updates across all current- and next-gen platforms over the next coming weeks.
