For lovers of Red Sonja and Conan, Image Comic’s Dark Engine might be just what you are looking for. Created by Ryan Burtons and John Bivens, the comic is a mix of sci-fi and barbarism (think John Carter of Mars, but with more teeth) where the heroine Sym is a weapon hurled back in time and created for one purpose, to hunt down the enemies of her creators and end their existence. Intense, vibrant, and brutal, Dark Engine looks like a fun ride.
