During its annual BlizzCon convention, where the company hosts tournaments and gives fans special hands-on previews with its latest games, Blizzard Entertainment announced a brand new title to its ever-growing list of MMOs. Fans knew the company was going to showcase a few new deets behind the next expansion in the World of Warcraft franchise, Warlords of Draenor, but no one expected the company to announce a whole new game, especially after the cancellation of their MMO game called the Titan.

Blizzard has taken its time introducing a new IP, 17 years actually, but they finally moved forward with one. Overwatch is a brand new MMO that also serves as a first-person shooter. The game takes place on a more futuristic style Earth, where the planet was saved by an international task forced named Overwatch. Players will have the choice of heroes and weapons to choose from, and partake in a group-of-six battle.

Blizzard is offering a beta sign-up, so for those of you who can’t wait to play, check out http://us.battle.net/overwatch/en/.
