Some games focus on giving players a new experience, where as others work on the intriguing gameplay mechanics. Monument Valley stands firmly on the line without losing any style points. Playing as a nameless princess, you try to guide her up ten tower-climbing levels, with the catch being that players must move the perspective of the level to change its layout in differing ways. The visuals are nice and calming, while music is dramatically striking in short bursts to give the player a sense of adventure and adrenaline to finish a level. All of this combined with a moderate challenge rating culminates in a fun puzzle game for just about any occasion.
