Just weeks ago, Apple went on to introduce its mobile payment system to the world: Apple Pay. In addition, the company’s also launched the highly anticipated iOS 8, which on the other hand has been a disaster since its release. As reports of Apple working on iOS 8.1 at the moment continue to surface online, now comes word of the software update, along with its PayPal competitor being made available sometime this month.
Banking Blog Bank Innovation reports both features will be made available on October 20, giving you enough time to purchase a Halloween costume through your iPhone 6. The site also discusses the rift between the Cupertino Clan and PayPal, saying “PayPal pissed Apple off so much” through its partnership with Samsung on the Galaxy S5 that it’s moved forward in excluded the online payment service from Apple Pay. Ouch
Several of the payment system’s initial retail partners include McDonald’s Macy’s, Subway and more.
