Apple has had a bit of a roller coaster week. The iPhone 6 hit the market, iOS 8 was released, iWatch was announced, bendgate has taken off in earnest, and somehow the company’s severed cellular connections and broke the fingerprint recognition feature of their newest mega phones. Well, breathe a bit easier iPhone 6 owners, as a new update is out there. Here’s hoping this one is going to work a bit better.

According to an Apple spokesperson, fewer than 40,000 users were affected by the update, which fixed the glitch from the first update to iOS 8 on the iPhone 6 family of devices. Seems like a large number, until you compare it to the reported 10,000,000 new devices.

Healthkit apps and third party keyboard bugs were among the other aspects of iOS 8.0.2 addressed. It is understandable if you don’t rush to download the update. It is there on iTunes if you dare. No new product launch is without challenges, and Apple is known for addressing issues before they become deal breakers.
