iPhone Trade-In Program

Looking to cop that new iPhone 5S or 5C this fall? Starting today, Apple is offering recent iPhone owners an opportunity to trade in their last-gen smartphone at retail locations for credit towards a new one. Bringing back a non-water damaged device looks to get you between $150 – $250, but be warned this program carries one major stipulation—customers must walk out of the Apple Store with a new device and contract. Apple provided the following statement to TechCrunch regarding the program’s launch:

iPhones hold great value. So, Apple Retail Stores are launching a new program to assist customers who wish to bring in their previous-generation iPhone for reuse or recycling. In addition to helping support the environment, customers will be able to receive a credit for their returned phone that they can use toward the purchase of a new iPhone.

The iPhone 5S and 5C are slated to be officially announced on September 10th.
