Have lots of free time on your hands…Maybe enough to deliver packages in-person for Amazon? The online shopping giant might actually make it worth your wild. According to a new report, the company plans on putting together a program that makes this a reality—having packages delivered by people traveling to or living nearby the actual destination of the package.

The Wall Street Journal reports the program, which is being dubbed On My Way, will allow you to deliver online orders. Amazon won’t directly ship the package to you, but instead store it at brick-and-mortar stores from where you’ll pick it up and deliver to the customer.

A smartphone app is also supposedly being built for the service that users can sign up for. There will also be a screen process to make sure people don’t just run off with someone else’s purchases. Good idea. We’ll wait for Amazon to officially launch the program before passing judgement.
