The trailer for the long-awaited sequel to 300 has finally arrived. 300: Rise of an Empire looks to pick up where the original left off. After the defeat of Leonidas, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes is still on the march and the next stop is the Democratic city-state of Athens. In his way, the Athenean fleet led by admiral Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton). Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with their rivals the remnants of King Leonidas’ forces from Sparta intent on revenge for the death of their king.
The film stars Lena Headey, Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro, Sullivan Stapleton, Andrew Tiernan and Callan Mulvey. Directed by Noam Murro. It’s written by Kurt Johnstad and Zack Snyder based on the fictional work of Frank Miller, plus it’s produced by Thomas Tull, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Stephen Jones, Jon Jashni, Craig J. Flores and Marty P. Ewing for Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Studios.
300: Rise of an Empire is set for U.S. release in March 2014.
