Starting today, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is officially on the market. The high-performance muscle car comes equipped an all-new supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine that pushes “over 600 hp”—making it the most powerful engine made by the Chrysler Group. Some of the mechanical upgrades made on the new model include a forged-steel crankshaft, alloy pistons, connecting rods, and heat-treated aluminum-alloy cylinder heads.
The car is also set to boast TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and new Pirelli tire technology with Y-Plus four-season tires. It receives a larger front-brake package as well that consists of 390-mm (15.4-inch) Brembo two-piece rotors with six-piston calipers.
Design-wise, the SRT Hellcat has a front fascia and all-new vertical-split grille and power-bulge aluminum hood with dedicated “cold-air” intake. The car is set to be available in 11 exterior colors. The list includes B5 Blue Pearl Coat, Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Bright White Clear Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Pearl Coat, Ivory White Pearl, Jazz Blue Pearl Coat, Phantom Black Tri-Coat Pearl, Pitch Black Clear Coat, Redine Tri-Coat Pearl, Sublime Metallic Pearl Coat and TorRed Clear Coat.
