It’s a Peace Film
At least that is what Serkis describes. It isn’t about war or the dysfunctional relationship between the two species. Instead, it acts as somewhat of a metaphor for emotion, empathy, and family. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will also be symbolic of the prejudices both parties face and how they deal with them.
