3. The Heartbleed Virus Attacks
Facebook, Gmail, Amazon…basically every aspect of our online lives suffered a major security threat in early April. An encryption bug, known as the Heartbleed Virus, attacked a number of popular websites, acquiring countless passwords and credit card numbers, among other personal details. Of course, the sites affected worked tirelessly to patch the holes. Despite this, users have been advised to change their passwords, not just now, but regularly.
