Discovered through playing a unique 8-bit game called Info Quest II, it was revealed that Telltale Games is beginning a collaboration project to create a brand new mode for Mojang’s cult-hit video game Minecraft. Minecraft: Story Mode is meant to be a narrative-driven game that is designed to take place in the same universe as the Minecraft Universe.
However, it will not be a story that builds upon the franchise, nor its protagonist known simply as Steve, but Mojang has agreed to help Telltale make the game as ‘Minecrafty’ as possible to add to the game’s unique charm. This will come from not only Telltale’s staff, but also the Minecraft Community will add to the game’s feel and authenticity towards the fans. Some release dates for the first episode should be released sometime in the middle of 2015, and will launch on just about system on the current market.
