Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Crossplay

So-So Cross-Platform Play

Whether you’re playing the handheld or console version, there really isn’t much of a difference as the experience remains the same. You can transfer save files between the two platforms via free app from the eShop. Playing online is only accessible on the Wii U, though you can put the 3DS to use if you have four others with the game in the room. Then that opens room to play locally on three handhelds and one Wii U.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Multiplayer

Multiplayer

Ultimate does offer a multiplayer option, but in order to access it gamers must travel over to the online city in the game known as Port Tanzia. Also, keep in mind that multiplayer is local on the 3DS. So that means if you have friends in London or maybe Japan, you won’t be able to connect with them. That’s only reserved for the Wii U version. Though I did enjoy having friends help in my quests, the only highlight here is the ability to save all progress you and others have done together. It’s a nice attempt of integrating the feature into the game, however, you can see where players will become bored and soon forget all about multiplayer.
