After gameplay footage of Halo 5: Guardians leaked over the weekend, developer 343 Industries has decided to confirm one of the latest gameplay features in the upcoming Xbox One exclusive. Players will have the ability to sprint in the game, which will launch sometime in 2015.
Studio head Josh Holmes confirmed it, with founder Bonnie Ross retweeting the news:
“No penalty to hip fire in H5, no movement penalty when scoping/zooming, no flinch. Tune in for the beta gameplay reveal at #HaloFest Monday.”
He also confirmed a feature called “descoping” will return to Halo 5. This sends players back to normal view when looking through a scope or zooming in upon getting hit. For those who haven’t already reserved their copy in hopes of gaining access to the game’s beta, might want to consider purchasing the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, as it drops in less than 12 hours.
