While Wi-Fi and USB ports come pretty much standard on all computing devices these days, there are still a ton of extra features that many don’t have. Don’t assume anything. Lots of computers are being made so thin these days, they don’t come with optical drives (what you put CDs into), which means you’ll have to buy an external one in order to rip music, download software, or watch movies. While USB ports are standard issue, how many do you think you’ll need? For many people, one port would not be enough. Another consideration is battery life, which is all the more important if your computer will be traveling around most of the time. Take a look at everything, and again, be sure to compare and contrast the extra features of your top device choices.
