Team Ico’s The Last Guardian is Still MIA

Since its announcement at E3 2009, The Last Guardian has been the subject of far more rumor than speculation than actual concrete news. Nonetheless, since the game is being made by Team Ico, the studio behind the critically revered and fan-favorite Shadow of the Colossus, any new details about this mysterious game would be big news in the video game world. Considering Sony has been emphatic about the fact that the IP has not been canceled and remains in development, it’s baffling that they didn’t tout this highly anticipated title at this year’s show. The game has been in development since 2007; surely by now there’s got to be enough to at least give the fans a sizzle reel. But at this point, Sony just needs to stop teasing us and flat-out share its cancellation or projected release date.
