The Biggest Disappointments of E3 2014

Uncharted 4 Teaser Shows Beautiful Graphics, Nothing Else

Like Star Wars: Battlefront, Uncharted 4 is a highly anticipated game full of action, guns, and violence. Though you wouldn’t know any of that watching this game’s E3 teaser. First off, it must be acknowledged that the graphics on the trailer are phenomenal, and the fact that the video was captured directly on the PS4 is actually very impressive. Aside from showcasing the game’s graphics, though, the teaser doesn’t give us much else to get excited about. No combat or real hints as to the game’s story, just a long shot of Nathan Drake waking up on a beach, grabbing his gun, and walking into a jungle full of skeleton cages. It’s certainly very moody, but an exciting game reveal teaser it is not. Both EA and Naughty Dog need to seriously consider replacing whoever makes their game with people who know that mood-setting is not an end in and of itself.
