Taiwanese website Digitimes reports Apple is preparing to launch a new 12-inch MacBook Air in the first quarter of next year. The publication suggests the latest notebook from the Cupertino Clan could be thinner than the previous models (if that’s even possible), plus feature “a new chassis design to reduce the device’s overall thickness and weight.” While specs and all other information the next-gen MacBook remain unknown, the site also claims that Intel’s Broadwell CPU will power the machine.
This would be Apple’s first 12-inch laptop ever, which would place in between its 11-inch and 13-inch models. Best to take the news with a grain of salt, as Digitimes isn’t known as the most reliable source when it comes to Apple reports. That’s not to say hasn’t come through in the past.
