The Insecticons (Sharpnel, Bombshell, and Kickback)
The Insecticons were a group of Decepticons that took on the form of insects when arriving on Earth. Arrogant, deceitful, and greedy, the group thinks they’re a race unto themselves and only assist their Decepticon brethren when Energon is part of the spoils. There have been a few incarnations in the animated series and comics, though the most familiar ones are the group’s leader Shrapnel, a ferocious Stag beetle; the sadistic Bombshell – a Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle; and the devious Kickback, a Grasshopper. Separately, the trio is cunning and deceitful together, yet are cruelly ravenous and can eat through metal.
