That’s right, 9 out of 10 adults in the US own a cell phone. That kind of majority is unheard of. This might not be shocking to you at first, but think about it – the cell phone has become a staple in our lives, on par with other life necessities like a bed or a shower. According the the Pew Research Center, more people own cell phones than home air conditioning (70%), microwaves (68%), or even televisions (64%)! Of course, it’s very possible to live a happy, full life without a cell phone…but we sure don’t act as though that’s so!
