Director, Michelle MacLaren will no longer be directing the much anticipated Wonder Woman film. Deadline reports, “Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together.” The studio release that statement earlier today.
Apparently it’s a strange case of creative differences. Seems a little disappointing because MacLaren is a veteran with popular shows like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad under her belt. However, this would have been her directorial film debut. It would have been nice to have a femme lead film because Wonder Woman is a strong heroine. Luckily, out leading lady Gal Gadot will still be our Wonder Woman and the film will expand the DC universe. Before the solo film we’ll see Gadot alongside Batman and Superman. The film has no release date and no director. Well, hopefully the director’s chair won’t be empty for long.
