A month before its release, Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. have delayed the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum video game till the 4th quarter of 2009. An Edios representative sent out this statement to Game Informer Magazine:
“Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can today confirm that Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released at the end of summer 2009. This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers.”
Last minute delays only mean one or two things: 1) The game isn’t completed or 2) It sucks. The impressive GDC trailer two months back gave us the impression that the game was completed, but something is brewing here. Let us pray that this isn’t as horrendous as the Gamecube and Xbox disaster Dark Tomorrow.
