12. You Don’t Mess with the Zohan
Poor Zohan gets sick of fighting in the Israeli army as a counter terrorist and decides to pursue his dream of moving to the USA to become, of all things, a hairdresser. Sure, the concept provides for menial laughs on paper, but its onscreen execution was nothing short of disastrous. There were intermediate laughs throughout the slapstick comedy, however, the film’s jokes came off as if a five-year-old had written them. We get it: Israeli’s are different. Still, there’s nothing hilarious about watching Sandler perform pseudo-martial arts moves in cut-off shorts.
11. Jack and Jill
Adam Sandler playing dual roles and in drag: Need we say more? An underdeveloped script and unamusing quips made the film unwatchable for all audiences. Truthfully, it was the supporting star power of Katie Holmes, Al Pacino, and the endless (and useless) A-list cameos that initially turned the family comedy from bad to god awful. So were we really shocked when Jack and Jill won every major category at the 32nd Annual Razzies (a first for the award show)? Rhetorical.
