The tweaking and improving of the current generation of consoles has been well documented and today, the PS4 tries to take one step closer to a working UI. I say that with some vinegar because until the major bugs or fixed, or there is any real new content updates, these continuous system updates are just formalities.
The update is around 248mb. The reason around is mentioned there is because mine was 200mb while some were much more than that so we don’t know if there are specific fixes being made that are changing for various users.
The patch notes are extensive so be sure to hold onto your seats… Here we go:
- System software stability during use of some features has been improved
- Operation quality during use of some applications has been improved
Whew… I didn’t think we’d make it there.
The major bug everyone was hoping would get fixed actually didn’t get fixed… I guess it is more of a problem than we though but Sony has confirmed they were working on it. For those unaware, the annoying bug that hit PS4 was this problem about a notification about “Rest Mode” would continuous pop over and over again when you turned the console on.
I mean notifications are annoying but continuous notifications are just as annoying as continuous useless Game Clips from Xbox One.
Be sure to download the update and get back to gaming!
