Strong Sound Performance
Sound is impressive on this thing. Backed by three Dolby surround sound technologies, the Wireless H shines by producing the most intense audio details when gaming. You can sense when enemies are creeping up, while taking in the full sonics of gunfire and explosives. It is almost like listening to a hi-def movie. Now surround sound might not be for everyone, which is cool because the headset allows you to adjust the format as you feel fits best. Another great feature is the ChatMix and LiveMix features, both helping to balance game sound and allows for clearer voice output that can be adjusted as well.
High MSRP & Non-Gaming Sound
We feel the Wireless H’s biggest foible is its price. At $300, it’s tagged higher than most headsets on the market: including Astro and Turtle Beach’s most recent offerings. Most of them also offer similar results. Another problem was the sound output outside of gaming. Using the headset for listening to music didn’t go over so well, as we noticed it struggle with bass levels and clarity. We heard some static too, which increased when raising the volume.
