Seeing how HTC, LG, Motorola, and Samsung have all had their cracks at Google’s flagship smartphone line, it would seem at one point or another Sony might get a shot at manufacturing the next-gen Nexus. Designer Kevin Moses created his own vision for such a handset in the Sony Xperia Nexus. It’s actually a pretty fresh take on the mobile series.
Bringing together the best of the Nexus and Xperia lines, the concept culminates in a device sporting a variety of premium features. The spec sheet includes a 5.2-inch Quad HD with an IPS LCD panel, 54-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 32GB/64GB, and 4GB of RAM. Adding to its beastly hardware are the additions of a 21MP rear camera with OIS+, HDR, and 8MP front shooter.
Design-wise, it keeps the rectangular shape of the Xperia phones, glass surface intact. Though you’ll notice the Nexus imprint branded on the rear, which resembles to the Nexus 4. Nice touch.
