Famitsu reveals the goods on the recently announced Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition. Capcom plans on releasing the title this spring, along the same time as Sony’s PS3 motion-controller, dubbed the “Sony Wand.” This PS3 peripheral will be used to swipe your knife, as well as other actions, and will accompany the PS# DualShock controller, which will be accountable for aiming.
RE5: Alternative Edition will include all downloadable content and include a new gameplay scenario that features the return of series heroine, Jill Valentine. This new episode will have the former S.T.A.R.S. members linking up for an adventure three years prior to the events of RE5.
360 owners shall not be shafted. Producer Jun Takeuch states 360 owners will be able to enjoy all-new content on the Alternative Edition that will be present in a “different form.” Details for the latter version will be made in a “future update” according to Takeuch.
