Those unfamiliar with developer Parallels should familiarize themselves with the brand, as the company brings its virtualization software to the iPad. Parallels Access is a new app from the company that allows users to remotely control a PC or Mac on their tablet and run full Mac and Windows apps on it. Apps are optimized to fit the entire iPad display, plus the program supports native iOS commands (copy/paste) and touch gestures. It also introduces new features customized for the slate such as SmartTap, which lets you select the right menu item with near-perfect accuracy. Some people might be turned off by its $80, but that is a small price to pay for accessing your more powerful machines on the portable tablet. Parallels Access is available now on iTunes.
