Cinelinx divulged a rumor yesterday that there an Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off trilogy is possibly in the works, which will be set between the prequel, and the original trilogy. Their source explained that, “these movies are not connected. They aren’t part of a story arc, but three separate Obi-Wan adventures between Episodes III and IV”.
Now, given the amount of rumors that have been circulating in London during the current filming for Episode VII, it’s uncertain how factual this rumor may be. However, the Obi-Wan trilogy would feature, “one [film] set completely on Tatooine and two where Obi-Wan travels elsewhere in the galaxy”. There would also be flashbacks to help drive the plot along, taking the audience back to Obi-Wan fighting in the Clone Wars. Owen Lars and Qui-Gon Jinn would be present in the three films, as well as characters from the Clone Wars TV show.
For now, fans will have to wait amongst the threat from the London set that, “Loose lips bring down starships”, the current propaganda reminding cast and crew working on Episode VII not to share any details about the film.
